We produce our maple syrup as sustainably as possible. 100% of our syrup is bottled in glass rather than plastic. Our sugar shack (below) is completely off grid, relying on solar energy.
To reduce our carbon footprint, we send our sap through a reverse osmosis system prior to evaporation. This cuts the volume of sap to evaporate nearly in half, which saves a tremendous amount of firewood. Solar panels power our reverse osmosis system.
